The First Nations-owned casino resorts

Four of the ten are owned by First Nations; what that means for the property and the visit.

Casino Rama (Chippewas of Rama First Nation, jointly with OLG, since 1996), River Cree (Enoch Cree Nation, 2006, Alberta's first Indigenous-owned casino), Grey Eagle (Tsuut'ina Nation, with Little Chief restaurant built on Indigenous tradition and guided cultural tours of the Nation) and, since June 2026, River Rock (Petroglyph Development Group of the Snuneymuxw First Nation with Musqueam Capital Corp). Three of the four sit on reserve land outside the city whose name they use, which affects two practical things: the address on your map, and which help line and regulator apply, which is still the provincial one.
