An independent guide to ten hotels, researched the slow way

The Canadian Casino Hotel Guide is an editorial project that ranks and describes Canada's casino hotels. It is not a hotel's website and no hotel runs it: the publisher is named in the footer of every page, and so is the hosting.

How it is made

Research first, writing second. Each hotel has a research record with every fact traced to a source and a date; where sources conflict, the profile says so instead of picking one.
Three tiers of source. The resort's own pages; our verified research files; labelled secondary sources where the resort publishes nothing.
Opinions labelled. Scores, "book it if" and verdicts are ours and are marked as such.
Photographs honest. City and interior stock images, captioned as illustrative; no photograph is passed off as a resort's own.
Corrections dated. Write to editor@bookandpaperexpo.com; if you are right, the page changes and says when.

Independence and money

No hotel, operator, First Nation or gaming corporation pays for a position or sees the ranking in advance. The guide earns a commission from its travel partner when a booking is completed through the "Plan my stay" desk; hotel links are plain links. Full detail on the method page.
